I found the existing pressure switch had failed and that it was leaking behind the copper nut. Replacement of the switch solved the issue

Not sure why I gave it 2 stars vs 1. I guess cause it worked for awhile. I had a leak n my tank so I pulled the tank, welded it, and reinstalled. Fire up truck n compressor wont shut down. Went to 160psi b4 I pulled the plug. It wasn’t but 3 months old and used just a couple weeks. I pulled the pressure switch off, hooked it to an ohm meter, and it didn’t switch off till 180psi. It’s rated 110-135. Whatever. I’m done with their $35 Hadley Switches. Gonna try $16.88 V pressure switch. What’s to lose by trying, other then 1/2 the cost of Hadley…

Worked perfectly. The last one died after one year, most likely because I plumbed it with the electric connectors facing down, which would allow condensation to settle into the switch. I reversed the direction this time, and am hopeful of a longer service period.

Pressure switch was needed. Also needed a new Hadley Compressor which I bought. Finally got it working like new again. I really do like the Hadley products. They are tough and well made.
