I have a LOT of snowmobile equipment because I like to have backups for wet, frozen, sweaty gear, so I thought I would try out this bala.I mix and match my sledding gear to get the best overall function and found this bala to be just right for a pair of Castle snow goggles that do not have a breath deflector, goggles WITH a breath deflector seem to pinch down on this bala and the exhaust out the bala is greatly reduced. YMMVThe eye-opening is just about perfect, not too far out that the goggle insulation wouldnt cover, and not so close that the outside edges were rubbing on my eyes. For my face it was a nice tight fit .The material is decently warm but I still wanted to wear a fleece beanie over this because for me it just wasnt thick enough. However, the material extending down the front did a great job keeping me warm from the cold air sneaking past my jacket collar.

I liked the idea, but it isn’t as effective as it sounds. I work in construction and we have to wear safety glasses. I figured that this balaclava would prevent my glasses from fogging, but it only works if you take very shallow breaths; which is silly. The mask also rides up and pushes on the bottoms of the eyelids and has to be readjusted because the opening is so small and oddly shaped.

this thing is ridiculously hot was in the mid 20s when i wore it and my head was sweating even with all the vents open and shield cracked on my helmet. as for helping with fogging it didn’t do much maybe helped a little even with a breath box in the helmet
