Upon inspecting after opening package, found the plastic check valve cracked and broken. Found identical valve at local auto store, and was able to continue installation. Installation went as expected, and seems to work fine.

I installed this item, test drove the vehicle, then parked it for two weeks before using the truck for a two week period in a remote area. My refurbished brake booster failed after two weeks of sparing use – less than 400 miles total. The booster began making a whining noise during pedal applications, suddenly the pedal became hard and there’s now a loud hissing sound from the area where the front and rear parts of the booster meet – indicating a likely failure of the diaphragm. Pretty unhappy with the quality of this item.Unfortunately, the Amazon return window on this item has closed, so I’m forced to buy another one. I hope I have better luck with booster #2.
