The silicone hose is the wrong size for the hose barb.I angle cut the end of the hose , put the longer side against the barb and used a small flat blade screwdriver like a shoe horn to stretch over the other side.It will now work as a vapor vent as it’s intended.The outside diameter of the battery cable gives the illusion that it’s a bigger cable inside. It’s just a thicker jacket. Didn’t measure wire diameter.

i would have givin you guys a higher rating but there were 2 threaded rods missing from my kit if you would provide them i would gladly change my rating ,overall i like what i got all the same it will look great in my hotrod. Thanks.

The box meet all my expectations for a second battery containment. Good quality workmanship and ease of assembly. No instructions provided but really not necessary anyway.

As I said the box is pretty nice, the hardware is good. I would not use the wires at all. The casing is thick, appearing heavy gauge. It is maybe 10g. For the price, youre hardly even paying for the aluminum for the box. Get some real battery cables and ends, and you’re still ahead.If I need another battery box, I’ll buy this again

The parts are well protected in the package. There are complaints about no directions but the link you buy it from has a very good video about installation. Now, I agree with the cables being insufficient size and the fitment of the top and bottoms being mediocre but it’s still a good value considering I got it on sale for less than $50. The breather hose also fit well to the barbed fitting so some revision must have occurred. The included long studs, nuts and washers alone are worth $15 if you were to purchase locally so pick your battles. Buy a good power from a local store and use more than one ground from the battery. The box is also pretty huge so keep that in mind when shopping that you have adequate space. The pic posted is just a 75% install before tightening the hardware or installing the battery and cables.

The box was pretty bare-bones, no cushioning or anything inside. And to make matters worse, when I opened it up, I realized two of the screws were missing from the parts. Can’t even get it assembled now.

Seems like pretty decent quality for the money. The parts list says that there are 8 gaskets, but there wasn’t anything like that in the kit.
