Paid $155. Installed in a 2008 Navigator. Window regulators are fussy by nature so take your time and watch a YouTube video if you are not familiar with this repair. Install wasn’t all that bad. The bad stuff- plastic is cheap so use caution when putting the handle assembly in. I broke one of the clips for the handle cable. I used a heat gun to soften the plastic where I had to pry the plastic or seat the cable clip and didn’t have anymore trouble. I used a small wood screw and washer to hold the cable in place where the clip broke. Looks rigged up but it’ll work. Also the hole for the handle pivot will need opened up. If you don’t the handle won’t seat and you might break the plastic or the handle will be seated too high to get the trim piece back on when you are done. Everything else was fine. I’ll report back if these don’t last. I may just try to repair the old ford parts if these fail. I you have the money I would buy the ford part. If not these will do, just be prepared for some “fine tuning”. I wouldn’t buy these again for a vehicle I planned to keep.

The most fragile part of the process is fitting the interior door handle into the provided holes in the new regulator. The bottom of the hinge post is much bigger than the top hole. If you don’t check the bottom hole to be sure it is big enough to fit down in it, you run the risk of breaking off the top piece that holds the top of the hinge post; the top piece is designed to flex a little to allow the top of the pin to slide into the top hole, but if the bottom hole is not drilled out to accommodate the bottom of the pin, the top piece will snap off. A disaster, unless you can use Loctite HY4070 to glue the top piece back on.

The cables that push and pull the window had frayed on my original window assembly. This replacement assembly does not come with the motor (mine was fine) – swapping the motor takes 3 x bolts and about 2 minutes. Follow one of the online Youtube tutorials – there is a lot of steps but you can complete it with handtools. Took me about 4 hours (working slowly and double checking everything). Works great, fits perfectly.

Le mécanisme en soit fonctionne très bien j’avais commandé le gauche et le droite pour réparer mes deux portes avant mais j’ai dû en réparer un que les bouching de retenues étaient brisé , j’ai réglé le problème avec des boulons et écrou Téflon qui à réglé le problème de retenues des pièces défectueux dans le transport du mécanisme neuf, maintenant tout fonctionne à merveille sans perdre de délais avec une réexpédition qui ne m’aurait pas permis de terminer l’assemblage des deux fenêtres avant de mon véhicule. Tout est fonctionne à merveille.
