I run 37 inch tires and obviously putting a spare under my truck is not possible. I had it on the bed until I got the decked drawer system so now with that and my undercover bed cover. I’m not able to use the bed to keep my spare secure. I decided to mount a roof rack to the bed cover and this tire mount was perfect for securing the tire. The lock isn’t the strongest and I’ll eventually upgrade it but for now this works. Only issue is slinging the tire up that high isn’t easy. 🤣

I’m impressed with the quality of this bracket but was frustrated that some of hardware was missing. Luckily, these pieces were easily enough found on my workbench. I also thought the instructions could have been more helpful. As an example, the system ships with two different sized clamps for different sized rack tubing. Nothing about this was mentioned, I just initially thought 4 extra clamps were shipped! Also, nothing about the included washers to be used securing the clamps was mentioned. The bolts are a bit long and the hook also a bit long I felt. All, which I plan to rectify myself. The lock is a bit of a joke, can easily and quickly be defeated, but hopefully it’s enough of a deterrent for most average criminals.

There is enough options to fit many mounting choices.Mine is on a full roof Jeep cage.Very solid , holds tire in place every day even during off road rugged terrain.

Did the job. Missing fasteners. Good thing I’m a bolt horder and used spare nuts and bolts to secure the base plate. It’s okay, but quality control has to be fixed. Missing fasteners and some coating peeled off or damaged due to poor packaging.

After one season of use the metal hook that keeps the tire connected to the base is totally rusted. The base and parts are solid, but this part makes it a deal breaker. Unless I can find another hook, I will have to order and whole separate unit from another company.
