Our standard power steering hose assemblies are an inexpensive alternative to the more costly stainless steel braided hose kits. This set adapts an aftermarket 1982-1988 T-Bird/Cougar type rack or our 91034340-POW rack to a GM style pump. Return hose will normally need to be cut to length. The pressure line in this kit has a 5/8″-18 male inverted flare fitting at the power steering pump end along with a -6AN to an 9/16″-18 (14mm-1.5) male O-ring fitting on the rack end. Note this is an O-ring style sealing design, and not an inverted flare sealing style. It also includes an adaptor so that it can work with an O-ring style (metric) pump fitting. We suggest using power steering pump910-32908 or910-32922-FORD. Kit includes: Adapter for the GM pump, to allow it to work with both metric O-ring and standard inverted flare style threads on the power steering pump fitting. The included fittings that will install into the aftermarket 1982-1988 T-bird type rack which are 9/16″-18 (14mm-1.5) O-ring (high pressure) and 5/8″-18 (16mm-1.5) O-ring (low pressure return) with the smaller O-ring fitting hose end being the pressure side for the rack.

I like everything about this hose set except the high pressure hose is clocked a little off for my application. Ended up curling the hose in different direction to get things aligned properly.

O-ring keeps pushing out from the return adapter. Torquing to specified 22ft lbs. if I back off enough to get it to retract the o-ring, its well below required torque
