Put this together and mounted on the bucket in about 15 minutes. I tried it on my flat bed trailer and fell in love with it. I had the thought of making one of these but then I found it on Amazon. Nicer than I could make and for less money than it would cost for me to weld one up myself. This hitch is very secure when mounted to the bucked and can be seen from the seat of my compact tractor. I can put up the trailer and move it into places that I could never maneuver it into using the truck. Line up / Pick up / Move / Put down. The maneuverability when moving my trailers with the tractor is worth the price of admission all by itself. Best of all I never have to get out of the seat. I have only moved relatively light trailers but if you had a heavy camper or something like it I’m sure it would be fine, especially if you added chains.

The clamp handle design is annoying and difficult to use because there’s not enough space to operate a handle without hitting the other.

Good, solid setup. I mounted it on the tractor yesterday and used it to move my 2000 pound car trailer. Worked flawlessly. Having said that, there is a design flaw. The design to tighten the unit down is 2 bolts running through to clamp onto the bucket. The bolts are the same length and make it impossible to tighten down with the hardware provided. As you make the turn to tighten, they hit the other bolt. I worked around it by not “installing” the bolts and just tightening one at a time. My plan is to shorten one of the bolts and weld a nut on the end. Should solve the problem. Having said that, for the price and how well it’s made, don’t let that stop you from buying it. It works great and built like it will last forever.

This worked just as I had hoped! I can now mount any receiver hitches to my bucket, which opens up a lot of versatility around the farm. The only thing I caution about is that it barely fit on my Cat 259D3 track loader bucket since it was too thick. The red plate ended up deforming and I had to remove the nuts that come in contact with the plate, but once it was on, it was very secure.

Works exactly as needed. Using a crescent wrench to tighten the bolts is more effective than the cheesy bolts they give you.

This hitch/clamp unit is very sturdy. Doing hurricane relief work, I had to back a 16 ft trailer 100 yards down a very steep, narrow driveway. Having the hitch mounted to the tractor bucket so everything was visible, I was able to get the trailer down and parked in short order. No reversing to realign, swung it a little more than 90 degrees and zipped it right into a parking spot between a tree and a rock outcrop. The front hitch, clamp-on receiver made it easy peasy and let me look like a trailer maven.I did not attach the handle bolts: instead I just use one loose and slipped it back and forth as needed. I will add a thin pattern nut above the black washer nuts that are included to lock the bearing surfaces in place. A very minor alteration for convenience and not at all necessary to function properly.

Well packaged. Well built. Fit easily. Worked without those chains everyone shows in their pictures. I’m sure those would be safer if I were going to take this thing on the highway but for moving stuff around the barn it has plenty of pulling power without slipping. I put it together in 30 seconds with no tools. I can’t believe this exists and for so cheap. I let my whole family know that all their problems are solved because this bad boy exists, is ready to use, and works perfectly.
