These are not long enough for my 2003 GMC Yukon. it takes one short one and one long one. there is no way to make these work.

I bought a few of these to replace the old ones that had disintegrated after 35 years in the sun on my 87 F150. They work well, but are a huge pain to install. I tried several different sized Phillips head drivers, by hand, and they all resulted in the heads starting to strip after threading in about 1/3 of the way, which is where the threading starts to get difficult. They were not cross-threaded, its just difficult for some stupid reason. It was equally difficult to remove the old ones, and I had to use a dremel.I think good advice would be to gently head the threads up first, but not hot enough to melt the plastic. There is a hex head on the other end that can be used if the phillips head strips.
