Great prefilter. I go to the desert a lot, and I’ve found this foam filter combined with a regular paper filter is about the best you can do to clean the air. Paper works better than anything else at filtering fine particles but it clogs quickly. This foam filter on top catches most of the dust and protects the paper filter. Then just rinse or blow out this foam filter once in a while and your paper filter will last a long time. Best of both worlds.
