Starter that arrived to for my Kohler 7000 series engine looked like it had been put through at least 1000 hours of use. Grease on the outside, dirty, and the gear looked like it had a few boxing rounds with Rocky. I tried to install it and when I turned the key it just spun like a top, the started gear stands still and it spins and smokes like a cigar! Another junk item sold by AMAZON!

Bought in winter time so only a used it a couple times before it already broke

It broke after first use. I had it in my conex for a bit and put it on it cranked the motor one time then got stuck and stripped.
