This is not for a 4.0l. The flange is too small. Nice kit though. Came with everything you need. Too bad I had to buy another intermediate pipe because the one in the kit was a smaller diameter then my cat converter. This may work on a 3.0 but definitely not the 4.0

I could not use the mid-pipe, wrong for my ’99 Ranger XLT 4×4 four door (extracab), muffler did not fit hanger, I had to modify the hanger (hanger was the one correct item). Tail pipe was close to correct and I was able to make it work, but hanger piece was 3″ too short, so I had to extend the tail pipe hanger. I thought about returning, but I was past the 30 day return time. I was restoring my rear frame and had not opened the shipping box until about the 45th day.

Flange on pipe is welded, could have gotten a better fit, if I could have adjusted the position. Had to weld an extension on the tail pipe hanger, about a inch and a half too short. Original muffler laid flat, mounting on this one had to be installed vertically using the hanger adapter. (Supplied)

the complete system soild metal good made in usa good crooked weil on pipe NOT good did some rebendig and made it work. hince 3 stars

Had to cut one of the pipes so it would fit, not a big deal. I also had to remove one of the exhaust hangers on the muffler portion and weld it to a different spot since it did not line up properly. Would give it 4 stars if not for needing to weld it. If you are able to weld then it is fine, if you want a volt on replacement this is not the exact for you.2000 Ford Ranger XLT sport 4cyl
