This was the right tachometer for my 93′ Yamaha outboard. You must change the dip switch behind the access port to match your motor year. It took me a few frustrating days to figure it out. Wish it came with more detailed instructions

I bought this for my 1993 85 2 stroke. It is the replacement for the original however the factory harness doesn’t match up so I had to use the old factory ends. It was pretty simple for me since I’m an electrician, it should be pretty easy for anyone to do it as well since the wires are the same color. About 10 minutes worth of work, some heat shrink and a little solder is all it takes. It doesn’t come with instructions so with a quick google search I learned how the dip switches needed to be in order for it to work.

I bought this tach for my new 2022 115 v max sho. Didn’t have a Yamaha or a tach on the boat so I had to the wiring harness also. Easy to install. It’s wire color to color. There are places on the web for illustrations. Highly recommend for Yamaha owners
