AC Delco Original Equipment rotors come with a zinc coating to inhibit rust. I researched many articles regarding this grey zinc coating and according to GM, the coating will wear off after normal braking and will not effect performance. These are outstanding rotors, a little more expensive than normal but much higher quality.

Thought it would be better quality. These rotors rusted almost instantly after the first rain. I have never seen that happen before so fast. The new Wanger brake pads have to grind the rust off when first starting out, not ok. The surface of the rotor has a Black tint to it now. These rotors were broken in properly, not used in a hard application,and is garaged. Its just a daily driver. I know I will not get the life out of these like the OEM that came off.

Work as expected. Installed on a 2010 Chev Camaro V6Item is coated for rust resistance including pad contact surface. Coating rubs off the rotor contact surface after a few uses.I am pleased.
