I bought this container to take on a long road trip as it is a compact design and holds just enough for one oil change. The one problem I found was when I removed the green cap, the hole was blocked by excess plastic from the molding process, so oil would not have drained into the container. I used an X-acto knife to remove the plastic plug. Using a bucket of water I verified it does hold exactly 7 quarts and does not leak.

A friend of mine has an older version of this oil pan and it works flawlessly for him and he’s had it for years. I can say that mine a newer version will last me the rest of my lifetime. It works great and I love it.

I like this setup with the pan being able to be close to oil plug underneath the car works as intended keeping the oil from going all over the place and splashing. Right now does not leak but with the plastic caps and threads i am not sure if over time they will wear down and start to leak.

This thing is a joke. It doesn’t even hold a gallon. I can only use it for dirt bikes and small engines. Can’t even hold the oil from a Ford focus.
