Bought this to replace my 13 year old Prolock which came with the SnugTop SuperSport that I ordered new in 2010. This replacement version seems like a decent quality part – BUT – it lacks a really useful feature that seemed to be standard on the 2010 version: The older version has an internal slider arm / mechanism that you can use to lock or unlock the camper shell from the inside, or when the hatch is up. I found that feature to be really handy, as I often leave the hatch unlocked when camping or when the truck is in my driveway. Now I have to have to stick the key in there to lock or unlock it. Kind of a bummer.

I bought this to replace the lock handle on my snugtop xuv camper shell. I can no longer use the lock from inside and the large nut to tighten it down doesn’t even reach the threads. Would love to speak with someone to try and find the correct one.

I bought a used shell that only had a keyed latch. Every time you shut the window, you have to have the key to open it. I prefer this style option since i leave mine unlocked most of the time. This latch worked great but I did need to cut some aluminum off the window frame to make clearance for it to work. I can’t fault the product for that though. While it was a snugtop canopy, maybe it’s requires a different model? At the end of the day, it works.

First off, these are hard to find. Now onto the review. . .Installation went smooth. This replaced a flush lock. I am glad that I don’t have to constantly have to reach for the key to open it up.Pretty short review, but it works great.
Just being honest –
Purchased the top from someone who removed to install a 5th wheel but they couldn’t find the keys. Perfect replacement for the Prolock! 5 minute install with zero issues and comes with keys.

This is a little pricey, compared to the other knock offs. But this is the real deal, worth the money.
