My wife’s heater core blew out on her 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio. Here in Maui we don’t need heat so instead of having to rip the whole dash apart to replace the heater core, this simple solution bypasses the heater core and fixed the issue with a five minute install. It came with two sizes of nipples the larger size fit her car perfect. Start finish install 10 minutes

The bigger problem I discovered after installing this was a blown head gasket. Combustion gasses were leaking into my cooling system & the air bubbles in the heater core would cause more resistance in getting the coolant to flow through the engine, which resulted in more overheating than when bypassed. Thought I’d share if someone is having similar symptoms

Use the kit to get my classic Chevy van back on the road after a split heater core. Only complaint was that the nipples had a lot of casting flash in the ID of the nipple. Knocked out the flashing with a screwdriver and a blast of air then back on the road.

Like everyone else here, I had a leaky heater core. In my car, a 1970 Opel GT, you have to remove the windshield to get the dash out, and that’s the easy part! I already have a new heater core ready to go, but decided to wait until I have some other reason to remove the dash. Living in Arizona, I don’t really need the heater anyway. This saved me a lot of time, and the hose fit in the limited space I had under the hood. Turns out I didn’t need any of the fittings, but it was worth it to me just for the hose and clamps.

Product works exactly as stated heater core went out in the truck it was over $2,000 to replace since the whole dash had to be removed this is a $20 part bypass the heater core truck was back on the road in 20 minutes if you don’t have an issue with your heater core buy it and keep it in your glove box it will keep you going if you break down on the side of the road a lot cheaper than a tow truck highly recommend this product
