Specialty Diesel Parts (SDP) has been providing both new and remanufactured diesel parts for nearly a decade. Our parts have proven reliability and exceed manufacture specification. This diesel exhaust ARD HEAD is used for 2007-2009 CATERPILLAR AfterTreatment Systems in on-road truck applications, and some off-road applications. This was one of the first Caterpillar Aftertreatment strategies used to burn particulate matter (or soot) in the diesel particulate filter. This ARD Head can fail over time, stopping the regeneration function of the CAT aftertreatment system, and plugging the DPF core. If you have a CAT engine with use of this type of burner system, we recommend replacing the ARD Head every year, as preventative maintenance. If the ARD Head stops working, you could be spending much more in down-time and repairs!

Beats buying a new one. Came with gaskets and spark plug to make it a convenient kit. Works like new, dont forget to check your can for cracks. boxing could have been better.
