On August 18, 2025, I acquired the Beech Lane Licking Hitch Vault. After setting the new unlock code, I encountered an issue as the vault would not open. I contacted customer support through the website, and Jack promptly informed me that he would send a replacement lock overnight, which I received the following day. I appreciate Beech Lane’s swift assistance and commitment to customer satisfaction.

This is a great product. Make sure when you install it, you use enough of the foam gaskets to keep it in place. If you don’t use enough gaskets to keep it tight, it will fall out if pushed forward. However, if you drive a Subaru with a factory hitch, you need the long pins! I am returning this one and ordering the long pin version.

The standard bolts fit the factory Mercedes ML 430 hitch. Used the two large spacers. Move the cover connector to the rear of the spacers for a better cover fit. Cover is stiff but sturdy. I’ll probably paint the toe hitch so it looks as new as the safe to help it blend into the background. Quality Item. Very happy with this purchase. Great to know that in an emergency we can always get into our truck.

I’m so glad someone started making these again. Just in time too. I’ve added a few more vehicles to the company fleet and this helps massively when you stage vehicles and have nowhere safe to store the keys.

As a jeeper who takes the doors off regularly, I don’t hook up the wires that tell me my keys are in the ignition. (You know where I’m going with this). This simple hitch combination lock has paid for itself within the first 2 months, lol. Easy to install. The instructions are easy to understand. Once installed, it seats well inside the hitch; no jiggly noise. And you can’t tell what it is. It looks like a a plain to hitch cover. I love it.
