The unit simply isn’t made right to bolt to the bell housing. Once modifications were made managed to get it mounted up only to learn that the unit just isn’t handy. Also I question if the bell housing is strong enough to support the transmission without worrying about damaging the case.

This product seems incredibly flimsy at first look and feel. Especially when u feel the weight of the axle housing spreader available on Amazon. I thought there’s no way, but after all the abuse and torquing and hammering bearing races out it was the least problematic part of my repair. Get it and do not hesitate to work on it. By the end of the repair I woulda been so confident in it u coulda asked me to use it as a seat and I woulda. Ps I only used two bolts as u can see in the picture for the mounting plate outta 4 that should be used and it still was absolutely a performer.

I used this tool to hold a Toyota differential so I can remove a lunchbox locker. The tool is made of some thick steel. I lag bolted it to my work bench. I used 10mm bolts and nuts to attach the differential. The weight of the differential will make it droop a little but acceptable. I used breaker bars, impact guns, hammers and torqued bolts on the differential when it was in the tool. I cannot imagine doing differential work without this tool.
