Posted as 18W lights + mounting brackets but what I received was just the brackets!

Easy install, took 5 minutes. Have a helper hold the hood in place. Mark a line for the top bolt closest to you. Unbolt one bolt and place bracket on, tighten, it will be crooked dont worry, when its snug undo the second bolt closest to the windshield. Remove bolt, slide bracket over hole from bolt, insert bolt. Snug this one down and snug the top bolt. Close hood and check alignment. If its good then tighten both bolts. Repeat on other side. Easy easy easy. It was so easy I did it without a helper. 😉

I was torn between these and a big name brand for $80. Gave these a shot and I’m glad I did. They look kinda thin on the pics but definitely have some heft to them. I was able to install them with no problems. Marked my hood hinge edges, supported the hood with a prop rod, disconnected the hood strut at the hood to relieve the tension, removed the two bolts and slid the light bracket into place. With the hood strut disconnected it’s MUCH easier to place the hinge back in the right spot. Yes the rear bolt is a bit more effort but still easily done with a wrench. There was no need to trim the wiper cowl at all!!! These fit low and snug. Mounting the lights was just as east (I recommend stuffing a rag in the space just below so you don’t drop a washer/nut into the abyss). My hood lines are the same, no interference with the lights or wiring. Add to cart!

More than one person is needed to install these. The hood will move and lining it back up is a real pain.

Bracket is very sturdy- heavy gauge steel. I read a LOT of reviews complaining about how long these take to install, but installation is actually really quick and simple- if you only remove one bolt at a time!Begin by completely removing the rear bolt of the hinge (towards the windshield) on one side. Now position the bracket to align the rear hole (pretty easy to do with the hood open- no need to remove anything) and reinstall the bolt (just leave it the tiniest bit loose). Now remove the front bolt (the hood may shift just a tiny bit) and then swing the front of the bracket to align it. Now reinstall the front bolt- right before you get it tight push/pull however needed to realign the hood (easy to see where it was by noting the pattern it left). Finally complete tightening the rear bolt and you’re done with that side- repeat on the other! Takes about 10 minutes a side that way- 20 minutes total.Very happy with where these brackets position my LEDs.

Brackets do not fit 2024 tacoma, false advertising

For the price point, these are great. When you have small 3″ cubes they’re pretty much perfectly fine. But when you put little bigger lights like I’ve got the mounts shake while going down the road.

These brackets are just what I needed to install spotlights on each side of my hood. They fit perfectly and hold the lights very well. They look excellent, people always take a second look at them. If I am getting in my truck people will stop me and ask me where I got them. They are easy to mount, just make sure you have someone to hold the hood up for a couple of minutes. They are priced right, and the build quality is excellent. There is a little vibration, but not enough to bother me.
