I strongly recommend this starter if you are needing a replacement. It bolted right on and wired up with no changes. I have been using it for about two months now and it has not hesitated once. Less than half the price of the factory starter.

I was skeptical on amazon’s one day shipping. THEY DELIVERED to rural montana in less than 24 hours very impressed.Yes this does fit KY onan microquiet 4000. amazing difference between old and new. I CANT hear my genny start!! the old one was so loud and growly i never knew if it would start. finally it did not start anymore.Keep in mind that if your old starter pukes parts into the flywheel you MUST get them out. I had a bendix return spring stick in the magneto and let me tell you its nearly impossible to fish out along with a metal washer. it will also lock the motor 100% and not turn over. After some surgery and fishing bad parts out this starter is a dream.Make sure your old starter has all the parts as the new one or your in for some serious trouble down the road.

It took quite a while to get. But i wasn’t disappointed,it fit great and for the right price thanks

Had to replace the Onan start motor, ordered this one, works great. There are several types of start motors, make sure you have the right one. It took about 2 hrs to remove the generator, remove the cover, remove the old start motor and install everything again. Generator is very heavy so have at least 2 strong people available.

The job itself removing the generator is a little bit tough, but if you do it yourself, you’ll save about $1100. The starter works exactly like it should and was a direct replacement for the starter in my Microlite 4000 generator..

The hardest part of repacing the starter is dropping and reistalling the generator from the motorhome. Started bolted right in like the OEM one I removed. Time will tell how long the starter will last. Ill update if anything changes.
