I really enjoyed this. I rode at a local MX track for about 4 hours with this on the whole time. After about 3 minutes of riding I completely forgot that I had it on. It came with straps to put around your torso but I was too excited to ride that I didn’t even put the straps on and it still held perfectly fine without them. The only little thing I don’t like but it’s not a deal breaker is just how it opens in the front. I mean I can get it open fairly easily but it’s just not very fluid. If it wasn’t for the mechanical part there it would have gotten 5*s. Obviously you start getting lower engineered parts when you’re not buying the expensive braces like leatte or atlas so it’s a nice bang for your buck collar. I wear a fox proframe roost protector with this and haven’t had any issues.

Fits nicely, works great for Karting. After reading other reviews i see how it could cause a possible threat to your neck and spine if thrown from a vehicle. But if you are strapped into a kart i dont see any hazard. Good quality and great value.

Il collare veste bene, è leggero rispetto alla concorrenza senza compromettere la sicurezza

The EVS Sports R4 Race Collar is nonintrusive and limits the front to rear and side to side range of motion of your helmet limiting the risk of neck injury. I decided to purchase this for off-road motorcycle riding after suffering a severe neck injury while mountain biking. The EVS Sports R4 Race Collar is kept in place with a chest strap system. It is barely noticeable and inspires confidence while riding in difficult terrain.

Being an older dirt rider still at it, I thought I’d try a little extra protection in case of a nasty get off. I just finished a 3 week off road trip in New Mexico but didn’t get to try this device out as I never crashed…and I’m not complaining…LOL!However, something else surfaced that I didn’t expect. As riders when we get older, our necks get more sensitive to g-outs and other terrain features that cause our heads to sort of whip and jerk when our bikes hit them that don’t result in a crash…just a sharp impact to the wheels and suspension. Usually after 3 weeks of steady riding nearly every day, my neck would naturally be a little sore and stiff from those hits.I’m going to give credit to this neck collar in limiting those kinds of head and neck movements, because my neck felt comfortable with none of usual after effects of riding rough terrain for that long. I could feel my head stop with some limited travel from the collar when I’d hit rough trail features that rock your neck and head.I’m certainly no doctor, but this is just how I’d describe what I noticed. Otherwise I seldom noticed the collar except when I’d look up very high while facing straight ahead. I’d feel the obvious restriction, but if I just tilted my head to look up, I could see just fine. I thought this would be annoying, but I adapted to it quickly and easily. Overall it was comfortable and hardly noticeable.I also wear a full Fox Raptor body armor kit, and the collar did not interfere with it. Again, I didn’t test this collar in an actual crash, and maybe that day will come. Riding nearly every day for 3 weeks was a pretty good test for comfort or sorting out issues. I’m pretty pleased with it and will continue to wear it.

Comfortable enough but useless without the body harness (included). Just floats around. The bolt that is removed and replaced to adjust the rear angle required Loctite to stay in place, as the mounting nut is cheap plastic and lost thread almost immediately.
