This is the entire plastic valve cover, with a rubber gasket already installed in the bottom and screws (on retainers) in place. A hose guide is also attached, an oil filler cap included. There is one more item in the box – a cheap pair of small gloves.The part is the right size and shape (confirmed with Amazon Fit as well) for my engine and will be used when I rebuild the top the engine this fall/winter.Inside the thick cardboard box, this was packed in bubble wrap for extra protection.

This isn’t just about oil leaks — the PCV valve is built directly into the cover, and it’s notorious for failing over time.Here’s what usually happens: the diaphragm inside the PCV tears, causing rough idle, whistling noises, lean codes like P0171, or even loss of power due to vacuum/boost leaks. At the same time, the gasket gets brittle from heat and age, leading to oil seepage onto the cylinder head or exhaust. Replacing only the gasket is usually a temporary band-aid.That’s why a complete kit like this one is the right way to go. It includes the cover, gasket, and bolts — everything you need in one box. Fit perfectly on my brother’s 2016 Chevy Cruze 1.4L. The kit came with everything he needed to do the job himself: valve cover, gasket, and bolts. Install was straightforward and no leaks so far. Great value compared to OEM. It appears to good quality and durable, but only time will tell.
