This was the perfect fit and we are very happy with it. It arrived more than promptly and we would definitely order more from them when need be. and with boats, there will always a need be!

Had noise and vibration in Alpha drive. Installed new bearing and problem solved. NOTE..GREASE THE BEARING BEFORE INSTALLATION.WHEN INSTALLING MAKE SURE YOU ALIGN THE GREASE HOLES OF THE BEARING AND RETAINER WITH GREASE HOLES IN THE HOUSING… ADD ABOUT 5 (USING A FULL SIZE GREASE GUN) PUMPS OF RECOMMENDED GREASE TO THE BEARING. START THE ENGINE USING WATER ‘MUFFS’ AND RUN AT MODERATE SPEED A COUPLE OF MINUTES. CHECK FOR NOISE, VIBRATION AND PROPER INSTALLATION OF DRIVE BY SHIFTING THROUGH GEARS AND SLOWLY TURNING WHEEL FULLY LEFT AND RIGHT (MAKE SURE WATER HOSE IS CLEAR OF PROP DURING PROCEDURE). STOP. ADD ANOTHER 5 PUMPS OF GREASE AND HEAD TO THE LAKE.

We have purchased several of these for our shop. They work as designed. Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes before you install ! It will slightly shrink and make the installation a breeze.

Have not installed yet, but looks to be good quality material.

DO NOT BUY!!!! This is a sealed unit and not a greasable bearing. Furthermore, machining is terrible. Tried a test fit on driveshaft before installing and would not slide o to drive shaft. Thought that it would go on with a little love so I installed bearing. Outdrive would not fit back on. Driveshaft whole diameter is too small for driveshaft to fit through. Purchased oem quicksilver bearing and everything fit perfectly. Long story short, buy oem.
