I lost two diodes on my automobile battery charger and start booster. One was open and the other one was shorted. Bought two of these, installed them, and now get 80 amps out of the device. I highly recommend these.

Probably solved all my large robot’s motor interference issues. Put it on the ground side for best effect! Acts like a voltage gate.

The rectifier worked for a few weeks, and then burned out while being subjected to low voltage (20V) at 30A.Jury is still out, there is bound to be a bad one in every lot.

Perfect replacement for worn selenium disks used for whistle control in Lionel ZW transformers. I own/operate four of such transformers and have installed these in all of them for a total of eight diodes. They are much more reliable than the older technology. Install directly to bracket without insulator bushing. It is a good idea to clean all contacts and inspect rollers at the same time. A few minutes of maintenance will help you get another 70+ years of enjoyment from your ZW!

This diode gets very hot even at 25% rated load. Need to use a heat sink with at least 3.5 c/m.
