Comparison points and tradeoffs
When comparing Red Line 80204 WaterWetter Super Coolant – 12 Ounce (4 Pack) with other Antifreezes & Coolants options, use this source-backed detail as the primary discriminator: POPULAR FOR USE IN – new or used antifreeze (including DEX-COOL and long-life versions) to improve the heat transfer of ethylene and propylene glycol systems, satisfies ASTM D2570 and ASTM D1384 corrosion tests for glycol-based antifreezes.
Use this second fact to evaluate the tradeoff: Product identity: Red Line 80204 WaterWetter Super Coolant – 12 Ounce (4 Pack). A third point to compare across alternatives is: RUST AND CORROSION PROTECTION – allows for use of straight water in racing or reduced antifreeze levels in warm climates.

I had my doubts about a pint of liquid bringing my temperature down but it did on 2 of my antique cars. I called the mfg and he explained how antifreeze doesnt allow the system to cool properly. So i displaced the amount of antifreeze drained out with the Water Wetter and probably a little more. I live in a cold climate so I had to be careful not to overdo it with the freeze point. The product did reduce my temperature about 10 degrees in both cars. I will try it further in really hot weather.

Item is as described. If used per the directions, it lowers water temperature.

Used it in two corvette’s and they are c-5 type. I can’t tell any difference with it’s use, so it is hopefully lubricating the system, but cooling I can’t definitely say it helped.
