I have an older YSM 12 Yanmar diesel engine on my sailboat. Probably a 1980 era engine. The pump is unique and was built well but hard to find. This impeller rebuild kit was great and worked perfectly for rebuild maintenance of the impeller pump. I bought two for spares and was quite happy with the quality and parts included in the kit. I did have to press out the bearings and the seals but the kit has held up well for two seasons. My engine is a raw water setup, I did find flushing my engine with fresh water helps prolong the impeller pump parts. The bearings and rubber impeller were what failed previously in the pump and this kit was a good fix. I like that it includes the proper screws for the back access plate as well. Also learned not to tension the belt too much as it sheared off the old pulley. Another hard one to find. I would buy again and was happy I found this kit and plan to keep a spare at all times on board. Hope this reviews helps others the way it helped me.
