I would have hoped that this was a sealed unit to keep moisture out but the front cover only pushes over the plastic base with no gasket or seal. Also no rubber grommet to seal wires entering from the back of the box. Also no fasteners were provided and if they were I would hope that they would be stainless steel.

The cable has an effective length of under 36″. If you stretch it further, the tension is so high it could pull the pin when there is no break-away.Requires you to make an extension if the switch can’t be mounted close to the tow vehicle. The switch and cable are great, just too short.

The ad shows a 48″ coiled breakaway cable. It comes with a standard cable. The reason I selected this item is because it came with that cable. I don’t have time to return it as it is for a customers trailer and it needs to be on the road. Disappointed. No solutions other than return.
