Bought this to replace a lost remote cable on my Warn VR8000 winch. This is an identical replacement remote, the same remote that originally came with the winch. So yeah, it works perfect.

Only problem is it says fits all warn winches, it does not fit five pun round connector, so be careful. As always good warn quality but was suorised to see ” Made in China ” label…

Après avoir attendu plus de 3 semaines le colis, je découvre que cet article est une copie de la télécommande originale WARN. De plus, il n’est pas spécifié dans la nomenclature que la prise ne contient que 3 PINs. Il m’en aurait fallu 5… Cet article n’est donc PAS compatible avec la commande 38626 et ne la remplace pas ! Les seules références données sont celles de treuils récents pour lesquels l’article est présenté comme compatible; Lorsqu’on dispose d’un treuil plus ancien avec une prise à 5 broches on se fait totalement avoir ! Pour finir, le câble électrique est si fin (et non marqué WARN comme sur le modèle original) qu’il risque de chauffer et fondre à mon avis…

I have an old 3 pin style and I was needing to replace. After reading the reviews I was pretty sure this would work with my old model. I ordered it, it came in today. Went out and it fits and works like a champ. Even the new “D” style of this one fits my old round style. Hope this helps, but I’m also high as Georgia pine right now, so……

It’s a 5 pin winch controller with the notch in it. Handle is mostly flimsy rubber feeling, thin, and floppy. The in/out labels are pictures so hopefully the operator knows which way they want the cable to go. Plugs in nicely. Definitely better than the smittybuilt it’s replacing because Web Wheeling is hard and demands high dollar parts.

It worked out of the box for controlling the winch on a 10+ year old used vehicle I purchased that had a Warn winch already on it, but no controller.
